I started college in the fall of 1985 too, so there's a lot about the era that I'm remembering really vividly as I read. I'm sorry my college years were in the MidAtlantic, because I'm sure I'm missing New England references as I go, but I live in the Boston area now, so it's fun to catch the refs that don't change. Anyway! I just wanted to pause and say that I'm enjoying the heck out of Daron's story, and I'll certainly continue to read!
